Hands and feet
I have just been diagnosed in my hands. My feet have been extremely painful since being steped on by a horse about 4 months ago. Are there any symptoms when it is in your feet? Suzanne

Dupuytrems in both hands & feet
A friend of mine has a finger that gets stuck and she has to straighten it out. She also has white spots on arms and hands as well as legs and feet. She has been told that this also has something to do with calcium. Are these symptoms also a part of Dupuytrens or is this something else altogether? She also indicated that she was told she would need an operation on her hand and they would scrape it. Since I don't know the full details, it's hard to give you definite information. I would appreciate any answers you could give me and one more thing, she has a problem holding on things and they will just fall out of her hand. I'll await your reply. Thank you.

Ledderhose Disease
Don't abuse your arches. I have nodules in each arch and they have gotten better rather than worse over the last 12 years. They cause me no problems. I only notice them when climbing stairs in bare feet. Be careful of the kind of shoes you wear. Don't do surgery unless the condition yields absolutely no other choice.

Women and Dupuytren~sq~s
Martha,
If your friend's finger can be straightened then there is another ailment causing the problem. I might suggest the patient see a rheumatologist for a consultation. She may have a condition known as trigger finger and/or osteoarthritis.
Please NO SURGERY.
Good luck,
