DC in Thumbs

My three siblings all have DC. My eldest brother has had two surgical procedures and is reluctant to have anymore as he is now 69 yrs old. My sister (aged 67) has just had her 10th lot of surgery. She has had her little finger on her right hand amputated also. My brother Doug (aged) has just had needle work carried out on his two hands by a Doctor in Dorchester/Bridport Hospital in Dorset. He is over the moon with the results. Unfortunately the Doctor will only carry this out on the palms of the hands. Doug has his ring and little fingers on both hands needing to be done and also he is the only one to have DC in his thumbs. He is now intending to get in touch with Dr Badois in France. However, does anyone know if the needle work can be done on thumbs? We have been told that there is a large nerve that runs through the thumb which if damaged can cause lock jaw. As you can tell I do not have a clue about medical matters but would be grateful if you anyone could help. Also would you have a contact e:mail for Dr Badois? I have noticed a few messages stating that it has changed. By the way I am 50 yrs old and have no DC symptoms - as yet!!

thumbs

When I saw Dr Eaton on Friday he took a look at cords between my thumb and index finger and said they were definitely treatable by NA. Dr. Badois also confirmed most cords including those in the thumb should be treatable. I don't need surgery yet on them as I still have decent grip. Not sure about your specific cord location as there are three prominent places in the thumb for cords and I don't know if the others I don't have are near nerves or not. Good luck.
