desensitization ideas anyone?

Five weeks post-op now and 3 fingers and palm are still very sensitive to touch and I have not regained feeling in some areas.
Does anyone have ideas or experience on how to speed up recovery of normal feeling in the hand after surgery?
I'd like to hear specifically from people w/diabetes as this might be part of my problem.
HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL and may 2006 be the year in which a CURE for DC is finally found. Miriam

sensitivity.

miriam,
You say, "3 fingers and palm are still very sensitive to touch". It sounds like you have good feeling/no nerve damage. Continued flexing exercises should help. You must have had quite extensive surgery for your problem. It will naturally take time.
