I've read about a Dr. Helena Spacek located in Montreal, Canada who performs NA. The contact numbers I've got are 1-514-340-2063 which turns out to be a fax number. I've also got 1-514-340-2770 which turns out to be a hospital called Our-Lady Hospital. However at the hospital number, they knew who Dr. Spacek was and gave me the number 1-514-340-2146. At that number, no matter what time I call, I always get an answering machine. The problem is, the person on the machine is speaking French, I speak only English. Does anybody have any idea how I can contact this Dr. Spacek. I read where the booking nurse's name is Mrs. Zito, but that does me no good if I can't get in touch with her. Anybody reading this who lives in the Montreal area or anybody with information on how to reach Dr. Spacek or her office, I'd GREATLY appreciate any information or help. Hell at this point I'll take anybody who can speak French. Thanks very much.

No I live in NE USA. From what I understand, they can except US patients, but cannot except US medical insurance. I finally got through to her office and spoke to someone who said they would ask Dr. Spacek if I paid cash would she see me. She said she would get back to me. That was Tues. morning. I've not heard anything as of yet. I'll wait until Thurs and give them a call back. Once I get word from them I'll let you know what they say.

As of today, I've not heard back from Dr. Spacek's office on whether she will treat US patients if they pay cash. However, the more I read about it I don't think she will, but will let you know for sure once I hear direct from her office.

Yes, I thought about just sending a fax, explaining in more detail my situation and that I'll pay cash. If I've not heard back from them in 2-3 more days and I can't get them on the phone, I may opt for sending a fax. Can't hurt to try.

You mentioned the poor rehab facilitiy they had. I'm confused because I thought treatment by NA required very, very little rehab and the little amount it did require could easily be done at home. Can you explain a little more about rehab work needed? Thanks

You say you had treatment by Dr. Spacek in Montreal, yet this Fall you're going to Florida to get treatment by Dr. Eaton. Why the change of doctors? Were you not satisfied with Dr. Spacek's work and if so, why? You had NA last Fall and just 1 year later you need NA treatment again? I understand NA may have to be done twice and even 3 times in some cases, but I thought the time period between having treatment and needing a new treatment was MUCH longer than a year.
Are you a Canadian citizen? If not, how were you able to see Dr. Spacek?

By the way, I've still not heard back from Dr. Spacek's office as to whether she will treat me if I pay cash. I called Friday and all I got was a machine. I'll keep trying and I'll let the forum know as soon as I hear something. I may try your suggestion and Fax them. Thanks
