dupuytren's disease

I have recently been diagonised with dupuytren's disease - I have a lump on my right hand below the ring finger. I suffered a minor stroked 2 years ago, and am on amytripilene, which, I believe, is an anti siezure drug - could this drun have caused this? I am 62 years old, female - ancestors from the U.K. - but no family history of this

I have discovered lumps in my arm (top side) - could this also be dupuytren's disease?

Is there anything I can do to prevent the problem getting larger?

Regards

Heading to Florida

Hi Carol,

It's best to consult a professional with specific medical questions ie: lump on arm. As for the nature of DC, it presents differently in each person, and there does not appear to be one specific cause. Like many medical problems it may or may not run in families, and it may or may not be affected by the enviornment. Read through this forum and inform yourself.

Take care and God Bless,
Frances
