You forgot to mention..........

You forgot to mention that we never actually landed on the Moon. That too was all just faked. What abut the fact that the 1,000+ people who *think* they had successful NA performed by Dr. Eaton were actually abducted by aliens and given artificial memories of the experience. You didn't mention that. And you really need to investigate Dr. Eaton's web site. Some people might actually think it legit! Better nip *that* right in the bud.

Here you go: http://www.handcenter.org/newfile16.htm

fake

Maybe I really didn't fly to Florida in February. Perhaps I'm imagining that my hand is flat again after a 30 procedure. Just don't tell me that Hulk Hogan didn't legitimately pin the Iron Sheik to the mat in the 1980s to win the WWF championship!

Fake Postings

Many postings are on site are fake and posted by a few individuals. Eaton is real. NA is real. The moon landings? I'm not sure.

The postings are fake. Seek medical advice from doctors.

Proof?

YOU,

Give us some examples and some proof of this fakery. Otherwise simply admit that your assumption of fakery is your Opinion. Opinions are fine around here. We have plenty of them. Here's an example:

Getting an expert medical opinion of the viability of NA from anyone other than a CHS who is experienced in NA is currently a fools errand.

Fake postings.

ME says: "Many postings are on site are fake"

I say: This is true. We have had from time to time a bunch of folks who denegrate the honest efforts of others to find the best solution to their problems. They do not marshall your evidence and engage in debate. They just slam. This is a type of fakery that is more damaging than the obvious frauds pushing their high priced chemical "remedies". I hope you are not one of these. Of course, we have a pervert drift through every now and then and folks who like to "game" the list.

ME says: "and posted by a few individuals."

I say: "If you are refering to the fakers I have described above, to the best of my ability to tell, you are thankfully correct. If you are refering to some of the stalwarts on the list who have gone well beyond the call of duty to bring new information, based on their personal experience and research (with documentation thereof), you are also thankfully correct. We owe them a debt of gratitude.

ME says: "Eaton is real. NA is real. The moon landings? I'm not sure."

I say: "Perhaps we have misunderstood you. Perhaps you were warning about the miscreant folks I was talking about in my first response. If so, you need to better identify the targets of your concern. I've been visiting this board three years and we've seen some of the hardest working members of the list disparaged, so if we are a little defensive or take your post the wrong way, I hope you will understand and provide more evidence to back up your charges so we will see more clearly the targets at which you shoot.

"I'm glad you have a sense of humor.

ME says: "The postings are fake."

I say: "You need to help folks by pointing out which are fake. There may be more posts with inaccurate information on the list than you want to tackle, but if you had just chosen one as an illustration, it would have been more helpful than this statement.

ME says: "Seek medical advice from doctors."

I say: "This is outstanding advice. There are many doctors out there with honestly held, but contradictory opinions. This list can help you find doctors of all opinions, but it tends toward helping you find doctors that specialize in DC and NA, as these are relatively rare specialties and procedures and most CHS are not NA practitioners. If there is one resounding theme on this list, it is talk to your doctor and if he doesn't do NA, then at least get an opinion from on who does.

"As knowledge about NA has become more widespread and the results are piling up, it is no longer valid to say that NA doesn't work based on anecdotes received in medical school or from ones collegues. Whereas earler, before NA became widely known, it was appropriate to demand evidence that NA would work, now the onus is now an those that think NA doesn't work to prove it - to analyze the data to show that it doesn't work. This apparently can't be done. Is NA right in every case? Those that practice NA don't think so. So you need to talk to a doctor that has both experience and training in NA and surgery before you can be confident you are getting the best advice.

"If you didn't intend to make NA the target of your comments, and I suspect you many not have, don't take this personally. I think that because of the history of NA bashing here, particularly early on, when a few pioneers were staking out the territory, it is necessary to add these comments so that others who stumble onto this post will not be confused by your non-specific, overly broad, characterization of postings on this site.

Fake Postings

Ack! Please don't point a finger. My name been used so many times by other people I'm like a tired whore with the clap.

But alas, I forge on because I respect the intelligence of people who spend time here to be able to figure out the nonsense from the real. Like Val said, there is a lot of good stuff here -- no matter what the nickname is...... and yes..... there are a lot of people who have worked very/very/very hard to keep NA alive and moving ahead.

And if some of us seem ....ah....bonkers....well...go google 'Dupuytren's Contracture Needle Aponeurotomy'. The number of hits you get are unbelievable compared to two/three/four/five years ago so something is working right and frankly I think the dedication of our members has had a hand in it.

I'm hoping that 2006 when Eaton presents his work...the medical establishment will take over the care of NA then our work will be done here on the net, but until that time comes...I will remain. There is too much DC in our family for me to let it go. I want NA to come to my own province and be covered under my own provincial medical insurance.

Fake Postings

There is no question that many posting on this site are posted by a few people using different IDs. Its always the same message, but a different name telling the same story as if its someone new sharing similar experiences. That is fake, false and so misleading people should be ashamed.

Almost all postings are fake and contrived. Seek medical advice from doctors, but ask LOTS and LOTS of questions. Make your best choice, but use the real experts. There is no one, best, single answer or one best treatment.
