Fallback forum

When this forum recently vanished for a couple of days I strongly felt the loss of communication. It might be useful to have another forum, a fallback forum, where we can communicate while this one is down and e.g. learn why it is down and when it will be available again.

As fallback forum we could e.g. use the forum of Dupuytren Society www.dupuytren-online.info

(The reason why I don't specify the exact path to the forum is not because I view this as a good opportunity to promote our web site but because our site will soon be re-designed with a new structure.)

Good Insurance

Hi Wolfgang,

Personally I went back to my roots which was the forum out of France but thanks for the option. My main concern when the forum went down was loosing all the pertinent info on this website. There's a lot of cr+p here but there is a lot of good as well and recommend others do the same - if only to refresh ones memory about the different treatment options that have been tried.

Thanks,

Frances

Good Insurance

Having talked to the good folks at BioS on a few occasions, I know their intention is to keep the Forum going indefinitely. The only problem would be *their* untimely demise, which I don't see happening. However, a backup would be a good insurance policy.

We don't hear about things like radiotherapy and NA from the Usual Suspects. And, as I have repeatedly observed, without this Forum NA would be what is was 10 years ago, a little know curiosity. Now, at this rate, the majority of new Dups patients will eventually at least have it presented as an option. We can't bank everything just on this site.

Adding a discussion forum to your site would be great Wolfgang.

Forum

Hey Randy, here is the good news: we already have a forum! Not much posts there yet and I don't want to divert people from this forum because one forum for all of us is better than many forums. But if anyone wants to post something in our forum, he/she is sure more than welcome and the backup forum, in case this one breaks down again temporarily, is available:

www.dupuytren-online.info

Trailermum?

Hi Frances, you mentioned in your "roll call" that you are also using other names in forums. Were you the trailermum in the French forum??
