Lumps

Dr. Zidel did my ring finger with NA. At the same time he injected cortizone in three lumps, pea sized. They are now gone. Maybe you should call Dr. Eaton and Dr. Zidel and ask them.

painful lumps

Nancy,

I don't know how unusual your form of Dup's is. Dup's seems to be so variable that I'd bet there is more than one underlying cause. But I too have a series of two lumps, or segments of increased thickness anyway, on one of my palmar tendons, with no contracture so far, some 1 and 1/2 years after first noticing my Dup's. But I also have growing PIP cords.

But more importantly, I'd like to reiterate Wayne's point that cortisoid injections might be an option for softening your lumps and relieving your pain. See the forum topic 'Forestalling Contracture' - MML
