Merry Christmas Dupruytren~sq~s

Hi All,
It happened to be the season of good will when I first found your web site. My doctor recently diagnosed Dupuytren's and then she died of cancer before giving me further advice.
Most inconsiderate but I am glad I have what I have got and not what she had.
She did not have too much time to give me advice but I have found it here in abundance.
I have been reading your back numbers avidly and have come across much needed information.
I did not know that you would have a prediliction towards this Syndrome if you were of Viking origin. I think many of us Anglo-Saxons have some of their blood after all that pillaging etc but as far as I know I am primarily from Cornwall (on my father's side).
The smoking and drinking I can relate to and my wife says that that is definitely the cause and who am I to disagree.
But, in my favour, I must say that I try not to smoke or drink during the hours that I am asleep.
Seriously, though, I would love to be kept in touch with the latest treatment.

Have a great holiday
Dave (indubai)
