I work with two of the NA Docs, both of whom I heartily suggest: Keith Denkler in San Franciso, & Prosper Benhaim in Los Angeles.

I would really encourage your mother to consult with one of the doctors who do NA to see if she is a good candidate for it....
I myself had a scheduled Open Surgery and decided to try NA three weeks before OS ,with Dr. Denkler near San Francisco....I had a 45 degree contracture on my PIP joint/pinkie... Dr. Denkler released the contracture and also did extensive repair to the tendon in the PIP joint...my finger is almost straight and other than some swelling due to the joint repair I have had absolutely no problems....with exercise and therapy the swelling is almost gone now.
I was delighted to cancel my scheduled surgery...I really feel that everyone (who is eligible for this procedure) should at least give it a try.
