NA Treatment in Spain

Hullo fellow sufferers in Spain
Just to say that, along with most other people, I have stopped contributing to the dupuytrn.org forum because of the amount of Spam. I hope that any other Dupuytrens suffers in Spain will join me by making their postings here.
It´s good to have local support and who know may be we can get someone to train here.

I know of no-one trained in NA in Spain. Someone in Madrid said it was accepted by the Seguridad Social and that a doctor in Madrid offered the treatment. But I have never heard more.
Every doctor or surgeon I ask here does not recommend it, but prefers open surgery.
We must keep asking!
best regards

Hi Marilyn,
Please keep checking the dupuytren.org forum. It is being cleared of spam and will be working properly in the next wek or so.

NA in Spain

Hi again Marilyn.
I am sad to say that the forum has been cleaned up once but the idiots are at it again. I have emailed to report this but nothing has happened so far.

NA in Spain

I've had a nodule on my right hand for three uyears. My dad just got the normal surgery in a private hospital.

I went with him to an early interview with his surgeon and asked him mabout NA. He said the technique was well known but only used when postponing surgery for some reason.

He also said that with surgery the recurrence in the same spot was impossible since you actually removed the tissue that could go amok.

I don't know, but I suspect, he and I weren't talking about the same thing.

In any case, the day I need some help, I'll take a bus to Montpeller, France (6 hour trip from where I live) as it is the closest NA I could see in the list of NA practitioners:
http://perso.orange.fr/f.badois-dupuytren/html/gblist.html
(I live in Catalonia.)

Unless, that is, the collagenase injection being developed by Biospecifics, or any other friendlier cure shows up first.

Oriol,
Just a nodule ?
I would say, no action if you have no contraction or cord formation yet !
