Need "real" and informative info

Ya'll - - -

Noticed tenderness and swelling in R palm running lateral from L to R. Also, tender bumps at base of pinkie, middle, and 'pointer' finger...

Cannot straighten R hand past - say - 30% w/o pain... L hand has tender 'dots' at 1st joint of point and little fingers w/ not quite as thick and tender swelling center lateral of L hand...

The question is - - - after reading SOOO many posts the past week - what suggestions do ya'll have?

1. I play both guitar and piano and don't know what I would do if unable to do either :-)
2. Grad student at Asbury Theological Seminary in Lexington KY... IE not a whole lot of cash but - - - retired USMC with Tricare Prime Insurance...
2. 48-yo male of def Danish descent (GGmother and father straight from Denmark, Gmother from Northern Denmark, my father is from Copenhagen...)
3. Options - - - ignore and rock on? Or pursue to beat in initial stages? Any vitamins that help ie gluclosomine? How about heat or soaking? Have been dropping things of late - guitar picks flying out into the 1st and 2d row, and water bottle last nite (just a bit embarrasing to say the least :-)

Open to any and all suggestions...

Paix du Christ ya'll!

C

diagnosis

Charles

Do *not* ignore. Do *not* Rock On at this point.

A) Get a proper diagnosis form a Certified Hand Surgeon (CHS). Have him measure the degree of contraction on any of your fingers. Don't let him tell you Surgery is the "only" option. You know that by now.

B) If you have Dups read up on "NA" on this site: http://www.handcenter.org/newfile16.htm

C) If you have >20 percent contraction, begin thinking about having NA done.

*Then* you can Rock On, and soon.
