New pain
I have had DD for quite some time now, and yet never a contracture or pain. Now that I seem to be getting pain in the finger, I am thinking that it may be progressing. It is stiff and painfull when used.
Has anyone had this start in, and what is the progression from there?

In my case, I noticed "dermal pits", then the cord started developing then contraction started. Then I noticed discomfort in cold weather. Sometimes a very dull ache, but not any pain. I did not have nodules.

Thanks Sean,
I have had a cord and nodule for over a two year period of time after a trigger finger operation. Never a contraction, but, this is now painfull to close my hand, or use the finger for things. I have been hoping that things will just stay the same. I am almost wondering if it is DD or, arthritis coming in on the same finger. Who Knows...I just try to keep using my hands as my doctor told me. Take it a day at a time. I have horses, so I am out there using my hands for things everyday. I do , however see some progression of this over time. Let's hope for the best. And, I am a full blooded Scott. Holds the pattern.
