Release of compressed ulnar nerve

Hi All,
How are you all doing? I recently had a surgery on my right elbow releasing the ulnar nerve. The hope of this surgery was the straighten my 2 curled fingers which are the ring and pinki finger.

With little success this has not happened and the fingers are still curled and look like a claw :/

There is another surgery next month 21st of october. I am not sure if he is going to investigate into the hand but i am suspecting he is because he got negative results on the decompression.

If anyone knows anything about the ulnar nerve and its relevance to Dupuytrens Disease could you please tell me.

Hope to hear from you all soon.

Lots of love Eddie

P.S hope you are all doing ok ;)

Ulner Nerve Relese

Eddie,
I had the same procedure on my left arm last year but the release was for the numbing on the palm of my hand along with the little and half of my ring finger. From my understanding, Dup is a different animal all together.

ulnar nerve release vs. RSD

I have all of the symptoms associated with ulnar nerve compression. My surgeon is reluctant to perform an alnar nerve release, because he believes that I may instead suffer from Reflex Sympathy Dystrophy. His main reason is that I am in extreme pain with a burning sensation, which are ascribed to RSD. He is asking the second opinion from a neuologist. Is is possible that I could have alnar nerve entrapment and severe pain as opposed to mild or moderate pain? I am hoping that he will at least perform the alnar nerve release surgery to see if it helps. Again, is it possible for ulnar nerve entrapment to cause severe pain, such as mine?

I have completely lost the use of my pinky finger and part of my ring finger, with accompanying numbness in the hand and wrist.
