Has anyone had a problem with scar tissue developing rapidly after surgery on their entire hand. What have they done about it.

    scar tissue

I'm into the second month after surgery on my left little pinky. I have a two inch scar from my top joint into the palm ; there is heavy scar tissue. I soak in hot water/epsem salt and massage twice a day. My PT says it may take 8 months before I can bend my finger normally. My finger was at 90degrees when operated on. It has a tendency to curl up when I take the splint off.

      Post Dupuytren surgery scar tissue

I had the surgery on my ring finger of my left hand in October/ 06 .After he cast removal I was told to bend my hand and change bandages 3 times a day .Stitches broke and were never restiched . The resulting wide scar( at the palm and the two joints above it are like hard leather ) prevents my hand from flexing to the palm eliminating my ability to play guitar -- my work .Searching for alternatives on the internet I wonder if anyone has used Potassium Iodide mixed with DMSO to help break down these scars ? There is still nerve damage and edema in the ring finger .
