swelling
Swelling, like DC, can vary from procedure to procedure. My swelling slowly went down over a 3-4 week period. Some are faster some slower. The important thing is to keep the hand very moist at all times (24/7) with a hand lotion. Soon you will start hand exercises. These are very important. I went to therapy a couple of times, to get splint and exercise routine. After that, I did all the therapy myself throughout the day. Finger now (three years later) has zero degree contracture and looks same as before getting DC.
Keep in touch with this forum if possible to let us know of your progress. What was your degree of contracture prior to surgery? What type of surgery did you have? How much pain?
