Thank you to this forum

For those with Dupuytren's, there is no site on Earth as informative or that has done so much to minimize both the physical and emotional suffering of our common malady. Nowhere else can you seek advise and interact with others who share your concerns.

This Forum has actually been an agent for change in the way our disease is treated. A number of hand surgeons have reconsigned the contribution of this Forum and post here from time to time. If you are new, you have a lot of reading to do.

This Forum tends to focus on the "Cutting Edge" of what's happening in treatment and current medical research. As such, topics discussed here can be controversial. In addition, this Form has no moderator and is completely unattended and unsupervised by our host, BioSpecifics. So, in a word, anything goes, and sometimes does as you will quickly see. However, picking your way through the less than helpful posts that sometimes appear is worth the effort. All you'll need is a little discernment.

A wealth of great testimonies and informative discussion are all here for you.

It has been over two years since my right hand had NA surgery, and thanks to this forum I bypassed major surgery where I would have been off work for several weeks and faced months of rigorous physical therapy. Had it not been for this forum allowing me to educate myself on NA, its successes, failures, advantages and disadvantages I would not have straighted fingers with a minimum of surgical trauma.
