This message string was intended to point out that this message board has been hijacked by individuals or individual to promote one option for treating DC and anyone new should be aware of anything posted here. From what I can see, most of the postings look to be false and anyone doing that should stop it.

That said: I advise any newcomers to search the National Institutes of Health website at: www.nih.gov. While surgery is claimed to be the best option at this point, there is a lot of good information there about dups, including clinical trials, papers and alternative treatment options.

Let's use this site to post information ONLY and links to that information. I hope this site can go in that direction. That will be a great improvement. Let's share facts and science.

I have had my login name hijacked a number of times on this site with messages I have not written sometimes within hours and I don't think its a coincidence. Reading some of these messages throughout this site this has been a complaint before and that is not in doubt.

As for science and facts. THAT is exactly what I'm proposing the site be used for regardless of the topic. I found the NIH site and encouraged others to explore it and not only is there is no harm in that, it is a proper use of a public forum.

i.e., here is what I learned and maybe it is of interest to others.

In fact, that is a better use of this site than to post misleading and highly suspect message about how stupid surgeons are and if they would only tell the world about NA everyone's worries would be over. My surgeon, family doctor and PT all know about NA and dicussed it with me.

So, Randy, to contest one of your points: where are the facts that surgeons are ignorant of NA and that they don't or refuse to tell patients about NA? Since you cannot back up that claim, the debate is over - you know your claim that surgeons are poorly inforemd about a long established procedure is silly and just wrong.

If either of you can prove that hand surgeons are unaware of a technique introduced by the French years ago, then you can claim to be right. But, since you cannot this outrageous statement, go back under your bridges. You are clearly angry men with axes to grind and that's a shame.

But, among the information on the NIH website are items about NA. Its neither good or bad. Its just there. Straightforward and allows the reader to intrepret it for themselves. Finding and sharing information like this will allow all of us who suffer from DC to be better informed consumers of health care.

When you come back wanting to attack me (and you will), try instead to offer information that is not bais and is informative regardless of the topic. I personnally do not know which techniques are best and do not claim to know. Unless there is an MD or PhD in your credidentials, how you claim to experts. Do not push your opinions on people, share information.

Are either of you up to that challenge? Can you share information without adding the politics?

And, lose the hi-handed morality. My login has been used by others and that has been a common complaint and that is a fact.

Randy: provide a fact that surgeons don't know about NA. I'm just a average Joe with average insurance and I was able to learn about all the options before treatment. What boggles the mind is that this is a somewhat rare diesease and instead of supporting each other, its a war zone. Lighten up.

Until the site is a site for sharing information withou the insults, its a unless place.

Until you can back up *your* assertions, It doesn't look all that good when you claim that others cannot. Anger has nothing to do with it. I don't mind a good rational non-personal debate if you are willing to engage in one. So far you have yet to bring anything of substance to the table to refute the final conclusion of my points:

Dear Me, (That sounds a bit schizoid :)

If my presence here can be legitimately criticized it would be, in fact, be for a near single minded enthusiasm for NA. This is probably because my Left is not doing so well 22 months post OP (most fair *far* *far* better with Open Surgery than I did). Due to this site I now have a shot at saving my dominant Right with a visit to Eaton in about 6 week from now. I see no problem in making my admitted *bias* and *agenda* perfectly clear to all.

Thanks for vouching for me if only for the sake of legitimizing the case for NA in the eyes of those who need to hear it.
