Trials about to start?
After about 3 years of waiting, I received a phone call from Stanford today. The clinical trials, hopefully, will start in March/April. Stanford is funded for the series of injections. The drug used (colagenese) is being made on an island off the coast of Costa Rica, and the feds want to make it in the US to be able to be sure of its purity. I will keep you posted when my treatment starts and the results I get. Best of wishes to all of you who have this annoying, debilitating disease.

Dark Side of the Moon :)
This is *so* bizarre. You might as well have said it's being made on the Dark Side of the Moon to shield it from Solar radiation. OK, I'll bite and see if the clinic that had been designated in the past at UCLA is ramping back up. From what I understand, the trial design requires *three* separate sites, and UCLA was to be the third. Why would *any* research money be available if they didn't plan on finishing the project? It wouldn't.
