Women with contracture

Hello,I was just diagnosed with dupuytrens at 49 years of age. I know very little about this but am told it is hereditary and nationality oriented. Would like to know what the progression rate is and anything else that might be helpful. I work as a medical transcriptionist and am not looking foward to having to quit. Lucy

You Go Girls

It may be slow in progressing, or fast. Could take years. Don't get too excited about it, as there are things that can be done to get you right back to work in a short period of time. It is not somthing that needs , these days, to put you out of commission. It is not a terrible dark situation with all of the new things that can be done, when and if you need it. Good thing to remember is, that you don't have to have a debilitating surgery for this condition anymore.
