inflammation medication

I have been curious about inflammation meds for awhile. Does anyone know if this type of drug makes DD worst or reactivate this disease?

Re: inflammation medication

Well cortisone seems to have a mixed response on the forum. Some have short term positive benefit, others say no help at all.

Re: inflammation medication

Hi there,

My DD was progressing so quickly that I had a cortisone shot to see if it would slow it down. I felt that I needed time to be able to rationally think about treatment options. Since my hand seems to be changing weekly, I felt like I was in a race against my hand. The shot worked and slowed down the progression for a few months until I had RT. It did not stop the progression, but it did slow it down.

Does anyone know if you taking something like aleve or something in that line of meds that also come in prescription makes your hands worse? Does it cause this disease to go crazy?
