Re: Burning

Hi Morgain, I am sorry that your have burning sensations in your feet. Several patients have reported that radiotherapy has helped reducing the pain, so maybe that could help you as well, provided you find a clinic in your vicinity that can do it.

To find further information on treatments for Ledderhose you might have a look at https://www.dupuytren-online.info/ledderhose_therapies.html and on the ratings of treatments in our patient survey https://www.dupuytren-online.info/patient_survey.html .

In the UK additional good sources of information on Ledderhose are Gary Manley's blog http://ledderhose.blogspot.com/ and the website of the British Dupuytren's Society http://dupuytrens-society.org.uk/, and on FB the Dupuytren Disease Support Group . There is no competition between us, we are all working closely together to help patients suffering from Dupuytren's and Ledderhose.

Wishing you quick relief of your pain

Wolfgang

Re: Burning

Hi, Thanks for your response, yes I started with Gary's blog and went on from there, so glad I have found this site and the one in UK, so supportive and informative. I have been thinking its more to do with the vein than the LD but having recently been diagnosed and am learning everyday about it! was interested to see if anyone else had this problem with LD. Vein surgery scheduled for 10th May he keeps telling me that the pain won't go from my foot which I am well aware of!! but at least one problem less.

Re: Burning

I am having the vein removed next month so that should stop the leakage down into foot. I have come to the conclusion RT is the only treatment for the nodules. My three on the arch are painful, I think one is a tiny bit bigger and the third suspected one has definitely sprouted!! as my pain is different. I am worried that I wouldn't be able to have RT because of the bad state of veins in my foot around the inner ankle which won't be removed. Is it best to get RT when nodules are quite small, can it be done if they do get larger. I live in UK and have planned on going down to Londdon where RT is available at least to see if I could be elgibile

Re: Burning

Dr Shaffer holds clinics in various parts of the country, not just London, see his website. He would advise on your suitability for RT taking into consideration your vein surgery. He would also advise on the timing of RT for your case. Usually early and during a cycle when nodules are forming or growing is best.

Re: Burning

Thanks for that, unfortunately I do think they have grown very very slightly since January when they first appeared but have to get this vein sorted first which will be done 10 May, then a few weeks recovery and can then decide what to do about RT. I do wish the Verapamil was available in UK as it seems to have good results.
