Did your lumps or nodules show up on MRI?

Hi, I'm still trying to find out if I have Plantar Fibromatosis because nothing showed up on my MRI. My Question: Did your lumps or nodules show up on your MRI? How did your doctor confirm your diagnosis?
Baroque? Can you walk, run, ride your bike?

Re: Did your lumps or nodules show up on MRI?

6 years after diagnosed with LD they did a MRI, and Yes, the nodules are visble in MRI.
My feet were examined with ultrasound in the begining, when one nodule looked like a pea, and the ultra sound showed that there where two nodules, quite big. SO if they cant se them after a few months, I dont think you hav LD.

Hi,
I had understood that clear cell sarcoma masks as Ledderhose nodules and hence the reasoning behind the MRI. Yes, the diagnosis of Ledderhose was made from MRI for me. Actually, I diagnosed myself some time before the MRI. It would no doubt be something besides Ledderhose. I ran into a lady who has had a substantial (hardened) lump on the bottom of foot as myself (I have it bi-laterally) but she has had hers for over ten years and no pain. Maybe this is the case with yourself. Have you any pain or discomfort?

Hi Australia Calling.Welcome:-
I believe your question relating to MI scan was directed to helmet but he has not been on line for the past 12 months. However go to my profile, click, send an email and when the window opens scroll down and send him an email. Include your return mail address. Have you thought of Radiotherapy. I have had RT and the results have been positive. Have a look on the literature on Dupuytren Society web page http://www.dupuytren-online.info

Australia...

All the doctors I have talked to have never seen Ledderhose, much less to do something about it. I had to pursue with a vengeance the very little help and input I have received from all the medical people I have encountered. I was responsible for getting myself ortho's, physio, and now the good shoe's. What to do after that? I have heard of NAC N-Acetyl-Cysteine...have you?

Re: Did your lumps or nodules show up on MRI?

Hi again Australia Calling:-
I personally have no experience about NAC. There has been much discussion on our forum about it. Have a look at the link on Dupuytren Society web sight. http://www.dupuytren-online.info When the page opens on the left click - Other Therapies. There is literature and links which may assist. When you open the Forum page click on the envelope on other therapies and scroll down . The topic of NAC is there . Have a look . Regards from 'Down under'.
