radiation for very small nodules?

I am pretty certain that I have Ledderhosen's disease because I have 3 tiny nodules on one foot (arch area) and 1 larger nodule (nickle size) in the other foot. I also have a big garrod's pad on one nuckle and currently have frozen shoulder in one arm. My father has DC and my mother, LHD, though her single but large nodule causes no pain. My brother has nodules so bad on his left foot that it pain him to walk.

Question: Is it too early for me to get RT? Anyone with experience getting very early stage RT?

Re: radiation for very small nodules?

Hello,

I have been told by Dr. Weiss in Virginia as long as they are growing then it is in the active stage. But she is uncertain how to determine if you are in the proliferating fibroblast stage.

Prof Seegenschmiedt said the most important time for RT to be effective is in the proliferating fibroblast stage. This is determined by a skilled doctor who has been treating this for many years. The most important part will be the personal palpatory assessment. RT is 95% effective when in active stage.

I would think the earlier the better, see "when to apply best?" on http://www.dupuytren-online.info/radiation_therapy.html .
