Radiation/cryotherapy/DMSO?
Hello all, I am 52 yr old female and got the nodules in January and knew right away what it was thru an Internet search. My nodules, both feet, have doubled since then. No foot doctor seen has suggested anything but surgery and a cream for the foot. I am most interested in hearing success of radiation, if one should go to Germany for this, and I'd anyone has tried the cryotherapy. I am very confused and do not know which way to turn, but I know I can't wait as size is increasing. I do not feel the itching some are speaking of though, but they are growing. Also, someone has suggested DMSO, has anyone heard of this?

Re: Radiation/cryotherapy/DMSO?
Welcome Tamarakruse
There is no evidence that DMSO (with SSKI or Verapamil or VitE) has any long term benefits. The first course of action for LD is 'conservative' treatment, possibly including steroid injections, but if that is not helpful and the condition worsens and becomes intolerable then RT has had quite good results. Surgery is seen as a last resort if done at all since it often makes things worse; although there are a few rare cases of success. In the US there are some practitioners using Cryosurgery with some success.

Re: Radiation/cryotherapy/DMSO?
I appreciate the answer, do you have any further info on cryosurgery or where to look? I am not finding much more good info on this. And was there actually a study or people that tried the DMSO? My health practitioner is pushing this.
