For those of you who have had steroid shots for plantar fibromas, did you have any positive or negative effects?

In my experience the numbing agent included with the steroid injection helped numb the pain for a few hours.
After it wore off no difference in the size of the nodes were effected and pain returned.
Of course everyone is different and results vary long term.
