N.A. frequency

I had N.A. on small finger about 6 months ago. Initially big improvement but it has now gone back to previous contracture. Is there any limit as to how many times one can have N.A. on the same finger? Is there a minimum period between treatments? Thanks

Re: N.A. frequency

According to Dr. Eaton there are a limited number of times you can have NA. But most people don't ever get there. There are no set periods between treatments. However, if you need further NA in less than a year your disease is fairly aggressive. I personally would exhaust NA before going all the way to Open Surgery. I've had 1 NA ten years ago with no recurrence. We are all different.

I had three in 18 months with no splint. After my last, I've been wearing a splint and all has been good for a year.

Re: N.A. frequency

Thanks. Seems like I should have persevered with the splint. I only wore it for about 1 week. I guess I will have NA again and keep wearing.
