Need documentation that FDA does NOT consider RT for DD experimental or investigative
I'm actually getting a lot of help from Li, the office manager and insurance person, in Dr. Denkler's office. She looked up the diagnostic code on Medicare site (Code #728.6) that Scripps used and Medicare says RT is not deemed medically necessary for diagnosis Code #728.6.
I called Anthem Blue Cross, my Medicare supplement insurance, and they said that IF I were not on Medicare and had Anthem Blue Cross under my group insurance, my group benefits would cover RT for Dupuytren's Contracture IF it is not considered experimental or investigative by the FDA.
Does anybody have or know how I can get documentation that the FDA does not consider RT for Dupuytren's Contracture as experimental or investigative?
I'm trying to include everything needed to cover every angle that Medicare might throw at me on the appeal.
Thanks,
Flora
