St-John's wort and DD

In Canada, st-john's wort is not used for depression and does not require a doctor's prescription. It is a natural herb sold at the pharmacy. It is used for sleep, combat nervousness and stress. I like to use it during higher periods f stress at work, and i find it helps me relax.
Now I have noticed in the last 6 months, that it seems to trigger activity in my hands, feet, and Dip knuckles. After a few days of taking SJW, I feel lots of activity for a couple of weeks at least. Maybe it is a coincidence but it seems not.
I looked more into this herb and it has has been used for healing for a long time and maybe that is the link. Maybe it triggers the "bad" healing process of DD.
I tought i would share with the forum.

Re: St-John's wort and DD

This is interesting, as I have been taking St Johns Wort for over a decade now (its also easy to get in Australia). I might stop and see if it makes any difference & I'll keep you posted.

Cheers

Re: St-John's wort and DD

Very interesting. I took St.John's Wort from Feb. till Sept. last year and my LD started to act up in Feb. I was in a lot of stress and it did help with the anxiety, got me through my sons deployment to Afghanistan, but then maybe stress could also be a factor.

Yes of course it's sometimes hard to know which comes first; the chicken or the egg! Is you're son OK? How stressful & intense.

Re: St-John's wort and DD

Thanks for asking Julie, my son is ok. He made it home safe and sound. Thank God! I truly think the stress with all this triggered my LD. It is what it is. I went back to Germany and had RT on my feet, so, it's all good.
