Xiaflex today
after open hand surgery and NA, my Ins approved Ziaflex. Got the first of many injections today as i have very aggressive advanced DD, some finger on both hands at 90 degrees contacted. injection went fine, not very painful, but within 1 hour my hand was getting swollen and tight feeling. now, 4 hours later, my hand hurts. any movement of finger is extremely painful, like a knife is being inserted, no way they could do the manipulation if it feels like this tomorrow without me screaming (or punching?). anyone else have similar pain after Xiaflex injection? thanks

Re: Xiaflex today
You can search the forum for comments on Xiaflex (or collagenase which is the same. Xiaflex is the brand name). Use the Search function on the left menu. Our Personal experience page http://www.dupuytren-online.info/dupuytr...xperiences.html patients tell their stories of how Xiaflex worked fot them. Another well documented example is on http://www.dupuytren-online.info/dupuytren_collagenase.html.
Swelling and pain seems to be a potential side effect of collagenase injection. Not for each and everyone, probably more an exception, but it does happen. Please discuss with your doctor whether he can help.
