Please help

I began, almost at the same time having , pain ,numbness, tingling, and a hard time opening up my hands in the morning when I wake up. After much time.. diagnosed CTS in both hands. Hand both hands done surgically. Numbness and tingling are gone. But everymorning when I wake up my hands are hard to open up. Last three fingers on both handss. Left hand is worse. My therapist thinks I have Duputrens. Can Duputrens start early ,where overnight, it is worse but after an hour or so fingers are back to normal? I am 43?

Re: Please help

I can't help with an answer I'm afraid but thought I would get in touch anyway as your symptoms sound very much like mine. I broke my wrist in February and although I did not stop working (typist) I developed a cramp like pain in my hand after a few months. I put this down to the break but then I noticed lumps in my palm and my GP thinks it is Dupuytren's. My little finger, ring finger and middle finger all seem taut and first thing in the morning or when I have not used it for a time, it seems stiff until I start to use it.

I am having nerve conduction tests this week, so when I get the results I may know more. I don't know whether I should carry on typing or rest it for a while because after 10 minutes or so I get the pain.

Good luck with yours anyway

Mary
