I have had my second Duputyren's surgery - right hand middle finger quite bent and nodules under the index finger and palm. Last year on my left hand it was the little finger at 90 degrees and less so for ring finger. Last year I had a plaster cast that came off in a week and the stitches came out about 7-10 days later. That surgery has been successful though full recovery quite long. This time I have a large soft bandage like a boxing glove almost with thumb protruding. Surgery was 21 Nov. but this bandage is not coming off till 9 Dec. when the stitches come out also. Does that seem an unusually long time? And is it normal that I feel a bit more discomfort now - 1 Dec. - than at the beginning? Not painful but twingey at times. I know that last year I did have a fair bit of pain when the cast came off and for a while after but not an infection situation.
