question for people taking NAC
Hi all,
I just read Kristen's post from January 08 about positive results taking 600 mg of NAC twice a day. I've been taking 600 mg once a day but am considering taking it twice a day after reading her post. Question....are other people taking Vitamin C in conjunction with NAC? I read the following on the internet:
"When taking N-acetyl cysteine it is recommended that two to three times as much Vitamin C be taken at the same time. Failure to do so may result in more harm than good from taking this product because of the prolonged presence of the oxidized form of L-Cysteine. Vitamin C also helps keep the glutathione that is produced from the Cysteine in its reduced form so that it can continue acting as an antioxidant."
I'm wondering whether the participants in the Dupuytren Society study also took Vitamin C. Sorry...seems like I'm always asking these questions about supplements!!!
