Hi all

I'm new to the forum. I'm 30yo live in the UK and have been diagnosed with Dupuytrens for around 2 years. I currently have cords and nodules in both hands but no contracture as yet.

I am currently looking at radiotherapy as an option to try and slow the progress of the disease and have read through the patient stories of those who have been treated with RT. What is the current thinking on the best place to get RT, from what I have read there are a lot of good stories from treatment in Germany.

Basically the question I am asking is where is currently the best place in Europe to get RT? UK, Germany or elsewhere and does one rate as better than another?

I live in the UK but had RT in Germany a few years ago. Since then at least two of our doctors, who mostly practice privately, and are now board members of the BDS, have built on the findings of the German publications and increased their own knowledge and experience, and I would not hestitate to be treated by them. I would perhaps pause and ask more questions to one of the NHS doctors who are still in the early days of building their experience of treating DD with RT.
