silicone scar sheets
Do silicone scar sheets provide any benefit on palm nodules, either before surgery or after?
It seems to provide some relief and flattening in the one area I've tried, which my hand surgeon said was en emerging nodule under an existing scar from surgery a few years ago.

Several people on here have tried them, and found some benefit in the form of symptomatic relief. But alas they don't reduce, or soften nodules (under the skin).
They certainly have an active role with scarring following surgery.

I heared stories of patients who wore silicon bedded night splints and the nodules and cords got softer eventually. Whether this works for each and everyone is, of course, something else. Chochrane is skeptical about the effect of silicon sheets on scarring http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scar but maybe it's worth a try for Dupuytren's. But it will certainly take several weeks before you see an effect, if any.
