Spontaneously rupturing cords

Have any of you had the experience of cords randomly breaking while you are using your hands? I have suspected this for weeks, but had confirmation while filling my gas tank, tonight.
I was becoming very concerned with the rapid progression of thumb web space contracture, on my right hand. It was getting hard to grasp large drinking glasses, catch a ball, etc. I only had about 30 degrees of Abduction(motion of my thumb away from my hand).
I went to get gas tonight, put my thumb behind the 'trigger', stretched my fingers forward to grasp the handle and then squeezed hard. It felt like a small lightning bolt went through my hand, and full range of motion was restored to my thumb. I am thrilled by this.
I would love to hear from others if you have had this experience.
I'm trying to think what would pop the larger cords going to my middle fingers.

What you describe almost sounds like you did a "self-Needle Aponeurotomy", that's great ! Never happened to me, but in all the years of reading this forum, I recall it happening to others.

Re: Spontaneously rupturing cords

I was hoping/wondering if it would be a lasting release. Unfortunately, my thumb is already being drawn right back into my hand. Guess I need to start taking all my neighbors' cars for fill ups!
