I had an injection of Xiaflex on April 10, exactly two months ago. The cord that was broken released my ring finger. All is fine now except that the ring finger is still swollen. The only way that I know that is because I cannot put my ring on. When I slip my ring on it will go to the knuckle and then stop. Everything below that point is way too large for my ring to fit.

What's up with this? Is that normal? I am still wearing the splint at night and am just surprised that it would still be swollen two months later.

Hey There,I bought some finger sleeves off ebay they r a black strechy fabric.I guess baketball players wear them,any way I wear them thru out the day and the swelling went down right away and if I wouldnt wear them my fingers would swell back up.They were like 5 bucks for 10 of them.Look in the finger sleeve catagory.Im headed back to Oaklahoma for my left hand up to 5 more injections in July or August.The sleeves made the swelling go away.Keeps them nice and warm.Dave

Im in another multiple cord clinic,I will get a multiple injection of 2 the first round,then every 28 days they will inject again till I run out of cords or they run out of Xiaflex,lol.I am a lab rat.You need to register with some of these clinics.Indiana,Oaklahoma are usually the first ones goin.Go to www.clinicaltrials.gov and check it out.Dave

They havnt posted the one Im goin to yet.They just called me Thursday to tell me.Im a poster child for this stuff.My ring finger is at least 150 degrees ,the only thing holdin the hand open on that side is my fused pinky.Its got hold of the pinky,ring and middle finger.Three cords for sure.They have a lady in Oaklahoma who has a more ageressive case than mine.Shes had 11 injections.Dawn there are 26 sites in the country that do clinics,Go to the xiaflex page and look thru the studys and scroll down to see the clinic Locations.Dave

I ordered some of the black finger sleeves from Amazon. They work! My two fingers are really swollen when I wake up every morning. After a few hours, it's not as bad and hardly noticeable. But I've not been able to wear my rings so I knew they were swollen even if they didn't appear to be.

Now I will wear the finger sleeves for a while every day and the swelling stays way down. I am now able to wear my rings when I go out. Thanks for the advice.
