Unsuccessful Surgery
I had the conventional surgery in my right hand. The small finger was bent to 90%. It literally went from normal to that contracted in less than a year. I had the surgery in September 2014 and the finger is almost 60% contracted again. I have been doing the exercises and wearing the brace at night and it still keeps bending. The occupational therapist said it is a memory healing reaction, meaning that the finger remembers the way it was and is reverting back.
Has anyone else had this reaction so soon after surgery and if so, what are my options?
