Pain or not with Dupytrens
Almost everyone on my Dads side has dupytrens. My dad had surgery. No one else has. I am 40 and am getting pains shooting through my right palm. I don't feel knots or cords. Some web sites say it is not painful and some say the initial stages can be painful. Can anyone provide insight by relating their experiances. Thanks, Sheila

Pain
Sheila, As I think back, I had pain (too strong of a word, mostly a different feeling) only when contructure started. Until that time I thought I just had calluses. There was no pain during contracture except if I bent finger backwards. Everyone is different. What have your relatives said about pain?

Pain in hand
Sean, My Dad says his did not hurt. My uncle says his knots hurt sometimes. I guess I will just have to go to a Doc and see if I have it or Arthritis. Thanks for replying to the post. Sheila
