    Success with deep massaging

I do hope that this catches on quickly and that other possible treatments are found. My fingers are straight at the moment, although the developments in the centre of my right palm seem to suggest that the middle two fingers will be pulled down at some point? My GP sent me to the consultant early because I have virtually no use in my left hand and he realised that taking my right hand out of action is unimaginable to me. With this in mind, the consultant said that I did not have a problem at the moment but if things worsen then I should get referred back for treatment? He added that there would be a lot of scarring!

Cheers for that I thought, you've really set my mind at rest, not!

I went to my doctor today to see what the consultant had said. He had confirmed Dupuytrens and said that I should return when hand use is affected. Being aware of the discussions on here, I asked my doctor what treatments are available. He said that the only option was surgery. I found that rather disappointing?
