Comments: In the U.S. most, if not all, clinics use electron beams while in Europe x-rays are more popular. This may have historic reasons, we are not aware of major benefits or drawbacks of either method (the equipment for electron beams being more expensive).

For insurance coverage please check with your carrier. We understand that the ICD9 Diagnosis code is 728.6 - benign condition contracture.

Clinics in Germany and Austria:

Germany and Austria have a variety of clinics experienced with applying radiotherapy to Morbus Dupuytren and Ledderhose. They are listed on our German web site. Being frequently asked about recommendations we list below clinics which have experience in treating Dupuytren's and Ledderhose disease and which we believe suitable for patients from outside Germany. We appreciate reports from patients haveing visited those clinics. The sequence of clinics is by postal code and not indicating any priority.

Note: Electron beams require a technically more sophisticated equipment resulting in higher treatment costs. Both, x-rays and electron beams, are suitable for treating Dupuytren's and Ledderhose disease.
