Can you help please
Hello my name is David aged 54 from Cambridgeshire U.K. and I have just found this forum so here we go. Visiting the doctors last year for a another problem my doctor noticed that I had Dupuytren’s contracture in my left hand, my ring finger and little finger are bent to 90 degrees, as he was investigating my other problems he did not take this one any further . This has happened over a number of years, my concern is that over the past one to two years that I have started to get hard bits on my right palm, If my right hand ends up like my left one It will affect my ability to work so how long will it take and is there anything I can do to prevent this. Is there anybody in this forum that can give me some advice no matter how small, I would appreciate any answers to this post and thank you in advance. David

Re: Can you help please
If you just have nodules radiotherapy might be the right start. It slows down progression or, in some cases, can also stop it and make the nodules disappear. But, at least for the time being, you probably would have to go to Germany for getting radiotherapy.
For contracted fingers NA is a good first start. You can get NA in the UK.
For both, radiotherapy and NA, you can find more details, including addresses, on this web site, i.e. on www.dupuytren-online.info.

Re: Can you help please
I'm getting radiotherapy in Poole, Dorset for early Dupuytren's.
PS - Wolfgang, your email about Google has an invalid reply address.

Thanks Judith! I wasn't aware of the missing e-mail address but now it is a valid address.
