Looking at webbing between my thumb and index on my right hand this morning I decided to coin my title's new word. I had xiaflex in that webbing in April, and was delighted by the subsequent popping of the cords and the spreading of the two fingers. Now, in mid August, the area has become one large linear nodule... a tough collagen bridge atop the webbing, traversing between the thumb and the index. The spread of the fingers has not decreased, but the bridge feels like a cord and a nodule. Maybe I'm not a good candidate for xiaflex, too diffuse is the collagen and too rapid is the development of the disease? Oh well time to return to the surgeon's knife.
