could fluorouracil exacerbate it

I found a small lump a few weeks ago (two months after elbow fracture and surgery), last week a dermatologist diagnosed DC and I have appt with orthopedist next week. For an acetinic keratinosis on my nose Dr. prescribed topical 5% fluorouracil. Since starting it the nodules appear to be spreading rapidly. I stopped for a day, consulted Dr. who said not related, so I restarted. Does anyone think the fluorouracil cream could be promoting inflammation and I should stop it?
(I saw other posts about its use as potential treatment that did not sound like it helped DC.)

I doubt that it could affect Dupuytren's. It didn't have any effect for me.
