Painful DC and LD
I noticed a nodule in my right arch at the age of 18, by the time I reached the age of 25, I could barely walk and the toes of both feet were'nt able to touch the floor because of the size, and number of the "nodules". At the age of 30 nodules and cords began forming on the palms of my hands. By the age of 35 my left pinky finger was drawn all the way down to the palm, and multiple other nodules were formed on both hands. I have had 7-surgeries, 3-ea. on the bottoms of both feet,(of which reoccur shortly afterwards) and one on my left pinky finger. I have read that DC and LD are the same disease just DC affects the hands, and LD affects the feet. I have also read that it isnt a Painful disease. Perhaps if there were no gravity and we did not flex in any fashion, Pain would'nt be the result, but I am experiencing a great deal of burning Pain. I am really SUFFERING with this chronic Pain. Is anyone else experiencing this hellish burning? If so what do you do for the Pain? It effects EVERY aspect of my Life, especially the quality of it. Pain is an uninvited parasite/thief that feeds on the quality of Life, and robs you blind of anything you may have had resembling it.(quality of Life) Why do Dr.s act like you are asking them to dip into their own private stock of pain killers when you request Pain killers? I am not the type of person to abuse medication. To me, when I do get some narcotics, it is Life in a pill so I use it only when I really NEED it. I've read that Alcohol will only compound the problem, (DC/LD)I am not a drinker. I have however self-medicated with Marihuana. I am not sure if it is a "pain killer", muscle relaxant, or what, but it does seem to seperate the focus on the pain from dead center so that I can actually do other things...so it helps me out in that respect. Has anyone else tried this? Persons suffering from chronic Pain, no matter what form of Pain management they use are never completely out of Pain.
