Re: Who is believed to be the definitive authority on DC
World-wide this is certainly a difficult question. Europe probably does the most research on Dupuytren's but who is the definitive authority on DC in Europe? Hard to say. Anyway, most doctors are specialized in their area and the most respected doctor for NA might not be the highest authority as hand surgeon or as radiotherapist or in genome research or with respect to collagenase. If you are located in the US it might not be a bad idea to consult Charles Eaton in Florida who is a respected hand surgeon, pioneered NA in the US, and heads the US Dupuytren Foundation. But if you are living in California you might also see Keith Denkler who, too, is very active in treating Dupuytren's. Yet there are many other experienced doctors and clinics in the US and before staring a competition I rather state that your question is generally difficult and hard to answer.

Re: Who is believed to be the definitive authority on DC
I'd say that since the cause of the condition isn't known, progression can't be predicted, and there's no treatment other than severing or removing the cords as they form - by definition there is no "definitive authority".
