DD and shoulder problems
I have DD in both hands and a nodule just starting up in my foot. My DD "flared" up after I had shoulder surgery six years ago. Now both shoulders are stiffening up and I've required numerous PT visits to loosen them up. My neck has also begun to stiffen badly and I suspect it is because of my shoulder issues. Other issues include both hands tingling and going numb at night. Doctors are beginning to irritate me as they want to treat one thing at a time without looking at the big picture. Everytime I tell a doctor that there is all sorts of data online about DD and shoulder problems being related their eyes seem to glaze over and they look at me as if I am a fool for even bringing the subject up. Anyone have any related experiences/info. Thanks.

Re: DD and shoulder problems
Dupuytren's is believed to be associated with "frozen shoulder", which I had at one time. But what you're describing - especially the tingling, indicating interference with a nerve - doesn't sound like frozen shoulder to me.

Re: DD and shoulder problems
Hi Pensacola Scott- Australia Calling, You make mention of having Morbus Dupuytrens in both hands .Do have any contraction. Have you thought of Low Dose Radiotherapy for the treatment of Ledderhose in the feet. With the numbness of your hands and fingers it could be many things. Have you checked out diabetes and carpal tunnel syndrome. After surgery I developed the symptoms tingling in the fingers .The simple Tinel and Phalen test were negative. I had an electrodiagnostic test ,where an electronic signal was sent down the arm to the fingers and the time recorded. This test avoided me having to have surgery for carpal tunnel . It is important not to self diagnose. Regards
