excellent results with NA

Hello,
Just to say I have had excellent results with NA at Hereford Hospital with my left and right hands being operated on in outpatients by Mr F Sibley
Hereford Hospital receive and treat about 100 Duputrens sufferers a year

I had previously suffered with the condition in my middle and ring fingers in both hands and had a traditional local anesthetic style operation which was effective but took some time to heal.

Last week I had my left little finger straightened, the operation under local anesthetic took no more than 10 minutes, and the finger which was bent and immobile to 90 degrees is now straight.

Due to the tightness of the skin under the folded finger there is a clean wound which although looks gruesome is healing well. I have a hand splint made to measure by Suzanne in the Physio department which protects the finger ( I have already caught it in the door) and keeps it straight.

There isvery little pain and it feels comfortable. The dressing is changed every 2 days by a GP nurse.

If I had a pearl of wisdom to pass on, it would be not to leave the operation too late as obviously there is more healing to be done if your finger has curled over.

The operation was entirely free under the NHS

Finally, my grateful thanks to Mr Sibley and his team.

I hope this helps others
Spen

Re: excellent results with NA

Spen,

great that the magic worked for you! Could you please provide details on the clinic? I don't think we have listed it on our web site and would like to contact them to ask whether we may list them.

Thank you!

Wolfgang
