RT in New York City for early Dupuytrens

I was surprised to not find anyone on the site list of radiotherapy sites in NYC, but maybe it just hasn't been updated.
I am in the early stages with no contractures and an 30s active rock climber, so hoping that RT treatments can help stave off progression without severely cutting back on climbing.

If anyone has recommendations in the new york city area, I'd be greatful. I saw some older posts regarding Dr. Rescigno but it seems he moved to the Long Island area (and doesn't take my insurance).

Thanks.

We usually just list physicians or radiologists that have been recommended and agreed to be listed here. In this old thread https://www.dupuytren-online.info/Forum_...a-0_2018.html#2 Dr Wong, also on our list, is ‘close’? Your other option is to phone the major oncology centres yourself and enquire about RT for DD and their experience.

Re: RT in New York City for early Dupuytrens

Hi Eric,
I got your message but couldn't return it via mail, happy to find you here.

I can say that I have no regrets to have worked it out to find the sympathetic and forward thinking team at Morristown.

My dupuytrens was only months old starting in my right hand, and was developing fast, and the very precisely targeted radiation treatments completely stopped the progression, the tingling, everything, which was already being felt in my other hands and feet... all gone just by treating the hand with the first node and some strings.

I’m aware the level of radiation involved might lead to a greater risk of something else in the future, but the doctors in NYC at Langone and NYU and Mount Sinai and elsewhere I forget just were very opposed to being involved and really freaked me out.

For me the complete relief of this bizarre disease which had no known effective non-invasive treatment is worth it, to this day five years on.

Good luck with it!
Alan
