Re: Splint question

I had 95 degree contracture pinkie PIP joint NA 2009
I had 50 degree contracture other hand middle finger PIP joint NA 2011
Dr. Eaton did a wonderful job...
CHT made the spints ... very expensive ...ins. covered..
Today ALL fingers are straight ... I wear both splints each night ..and will continue to !

Re: Splint question

I finally got my internet back..... squirrels ate through the wires.

Anyway, thank you all for your replies. I will continue to wear the splint. I just had one custom made, and it's a lot better than the one that the hand doc gave me. But, the doc said that i should only wear it for 4 months. I just know that the splint is really the only thing that's keeping my hand straight, and maybe preventing my PIP from getting worse. I was just wondering if I'm overreacting by wanting to continue wearing it, which you all told me that I'm not. Sometimes we just need that kind of affirmation. ~Diane

How wonderful that you had such good, long lasting results... results vary from person to person, some of us are not lucky I guess...

Re: Splint question

BrianB, anyway you can post a photo of your splints? I'd like to see what they look like since they are doing a good job for you.
